Choose your halloween nail art design

What You Will Need
Use only waterslide decal paper and child friendly nail polish suitable for children aged 5–10. Do not substitute ordinary sticker paper, craft vinyl or generic temporary-tattoo. The links to the products are listed down below.
Safety note: When using the clear coat spray, make sure it is in a well-ventilated area. The best would be if it was used outside the home or apartment. Make sure you are wearing gloves and a mask to protect yourself from the chemicals in the spray.
How to Make the Nail Wraps
Print the chosen design at 100% or ‘actual size’. Do not select fit to page, as this will change the nail measurements. Check the 25 mm calibration square before cutting the wraps.
Allow the ink to dry completely. Next, spray the nail art parts with the clear coat spray, preferably outdoors, and allow to set. Once dry, carefully cut around the rounded shape using small scissors. Prepare all ten nail art pieces before beginning the manicure.

How to Apply the Nail Art
Wash and dry the child’s hands thoroughly. Avoid moisturiser immediately before application because it can prevent the paper from adhering properly. Do not cut or push back the cuticles. Apply a base coat of a child-friendly nail polish like the one recommended above. This forms the base for the designs. Allow to dry completely.
Use tweezers to lift the first wrap. Position it on the nail plate, leaving a tiny space around the cuticle and skin. Press from the centre outwards to remove wrinkles and air bubbles.
Fold the excess gently over the nail tip and file downwards to remove it. Repeat for each nail, checking that the wrap does not touch the surrounding skin.
To remove the wraps, loosen an edge after soaking the nails in warm water. Peel slowly and gently. Never scrape or pull forcefully.

An Important Safety Note
Always supervise children during application and removal. Try one nail first and remove the decal immediately if redness, itching, swelling or discomfort develops. Avoid using nail art on damaged nails or irritated skin, and do not use them for children who bite their nails or suck their fingers.
With smaller children, more care is needed due to allergic reactions and the fact that some ingredients may be harmful if swallowed. With appropriate materials and careful adult supervision, these Halloween nail-art designs can become a wonderfully creative seasonal activity.
