This post is all about the Free A6 cash envelope inserts for cash stuffing
So, what are cash envelopes, and how do they work?
Simply put, Cash envelopes are a way to organise your money into various spending categories. Instead of keeping all your spending money together, you assign it to specifically labelled envelopes, such as groceries, eating out, clothing and household.
When you first get your pay or allowance, whether it’s at the beginning of the week or month, you decide how much to allocate to each category. When making a payment, you use the money from that specific envelope and return any change back into the envelope. The remaining cash shows what is still available.
If any category or envelope runs low on cash, you can pause other optional purchases or simply adjust your allocation. This method is often called cash stuffing or envelope budgeting.

Why is cash stuffing popular?
Envelope budgeting as a method has been around for a long time but has attracted renewed attention through social media. Videos showing people sorting notes into labelled envelopes make the process easy to understand and fun to watch!
Colourful binders and attractive printables also turn a practical and sometimes mundane task into an inviting routine. It’s easy, visual approach is appealing to those who prefer handling money to tracking everything through an app.
For me, the appeal of a floral or patterned cash binder is the care it brings to an everyday household task. A useful system can feel lovely to return to.

Can cash envelopes help you spend less?
Cash envelopes may help make your spending more obvious. You can see the money leaving an envelope and check what remains before another purchase or payment.

The envelopes provide us with a certain structure, but their usefulness depends on realistic allocations, regular checks and recording what you spend.

For the money in your bank, a Budget Sheet card behind the insert can show the category and amount reserved. Do the same for your online purchases such as Amazon and Ebay. Record these online purchases against the same category so your binder stays up to date.
Note: Cash also needs to be kept securely, and physical envelopes require manual tracking. Start with a manageable system that fits your daily life. Start small and build up to a full system as and when you feel ready.
