Here are some fun facts about Seals that you can share with your kids!
- Firstly, Seals use their whiskers to find food. Their sensitive whiskers can detect tiny movements made by fish in the water even in the dark.
- Secondly, some seal pups can swim almost immediately. Harbour seal pups may enter the water and swim within minutes of being born.
- Additionally, Seals can sleep underwater. Harbour seals can rise to the surface for air without fully waking up.
- Fourthly, they wear a natural winter coat. A thick layer of fat called blubber helps seals stay warm in cold ocean water.
- Finally, true seals do not have visible ears. Instead of ear flaps, they have small ear openings on the sides of their heads.
How to Download the Seal Colouring Pages
Firstly, choose the seal picture that you would like to colour. Next, select the download button beneath the image.
Open the downloaded file and print it on A4 paper. Standard printer paper works well with crayons and colouring pencils.
However, slightly thicker paper may be better for felt-tip pens or paint. Before printing, check that your printer uses the correct paper size. Select ‘fit to page’ if part of the design is missing.
