Red pandas are easy to recognise because of their reddish coats, white facial markings and long, fluffy tails. Therefore, they make especially charming characters for colouring activities.
Children can use realistic shades of red, orange, brown, black and cream. Alternatively, they could create pink, blue, purple or rainbow-coloured red pandas.

Here are some fun facts about red pandas that you can share with your kids!
- Firstly, Red pandas are not bears. They belong to their own animal family, called Ailuridae.
- Secondly, they use their fluffy tails for balance. Their long tails help them stay steady while climbing through trees.
- Additionally, Red pandas can climb down trees head-first. Their flexible ankles and sharp claws make them excellent climbers.
- Fourthly, they have a special thumb. A modified wrist bone helps them hold bamboo while they eat.
- Finally, Red pandas love bamboo. Around 95% of their diet is made up of bamboo leaves and shoots.

How to Download the Red Panda Colouring Pages
Firstly, choose the red panda picture that you would like to colour. Next, select the download button beneath the image.
Open the downloaded file and print it on A4 paper. Standard printer paper works well with crayons and colouring pencils.
However, slightly thicker paper may be better for felt-tip pens or paint. Before printing, check that your printer uses the correct paper size. Select ‘fit to page’ if part of the design is missing.

Make a Colourful Forest Display
Finished pictures can become cheerful decorations for a bedroom, playroom or classroom.
Arrange several pages together to create a colourful red panda gallery. You could also attach the pictures to a piece of string with small wooden pegs.
In addition, children can draw their own backgrounds before displaying their artwork. For instance, they might create a bamboo forest, a snowy mountain or a cosy treetop home.

Creative Ways to Use These Red Panda Printables
These free pages can become part of several fun woodland activities.
For example, children could cut out their finished red pandas and place them on a homemade forest background. They could then add bamboo, trees, mountains, leaves and fluffy clouds.
Alternatively, children could give each red panda a name. Afterwards, encourage them to invent a short story about the animal’s forest adventures.
Another idea is to turn the pages into a colouring book. Simply print several designs, add a cover and staple the pages together.
Finally, you can laminate a favourite picture. As a result, your child can colour it again using suitable washable or dry-wipe pens.
