Here are some fun facts about Bees that you can share with your kids!
- Firstly, bees have five eyes. They have two large eyes and three tiny eyes on top of their heads.
- Secondly, honeybees can dance. They perform a special “waggle dance” to show other bees where to find the best flowers.
- Additionally, some bees have pollen baskets. Honeybees and bumblebees carry pollen in special baskets on their back legs.
- Fourthly, most bees do not live in hives. Many species live alone and build their own small nests.
- Finally, bees flap their wings very quickly. A bee can flap its wings up to about 230 times every second.

How to Download the Bee Colouring Pages
Firstly, choose the bee picture that you would like to colour. Next, select the download button beneath the image.
Open the downloaded file and print it on A4 paper. Standard printer paper works well with crayons and colouring pencils.
However, slightly thicker paper may be better for felt-tip pens or paint. Before printing, check that your printer is set to the correct paper size. Select ‘fit to page’ if part of the picture is missing.

Creative Ways to Use These Bee Printables
Altogether, these free pages can become part of several fun bee activities.
For example, children could cut out their finished bees and place them on a homemade garden background. Additionally, they could then add flowers, trees, clouds and a colourful beehive.
Alternatively, encourage your child to give each bee a name. Afterwards, they could invent a story about the bee’s journey through the garden.
Another idea is to create a bee colouring book. Simply print several designs, add a cover and staple the pages together.
Finally, you can laminate a favourite picture. As a result, your child can colour it again with suitable washable or dry-wipe pens.

Make a Colourful Bee Display
Finished pictures can become cheerful decorations for a bedroom, playroom or classroom.
Arrange several pages together to create a colourful bee gallery. You could also attach them to a piece of string with small wooden pegs.
In addition, children can add their own backgrounds before displaying the pictures. For instance, they might draw a wildflower meadow, a vegetable garden or a busy beehive.
