1. Firstly, Ducks have waterproof feathers. They carefully smooth and arrange their feathers in a process called preening, which helps them stay dry in the water. 
2. Secondly, Ducklings can leave the nest very quickly. Many are ready to follow their mother shortly after their soft down feathers have dried. 
3. Additionally, some baby ducks make a big jump. Wood ducklings hatch in tree nests and may leap down to the ground only one day later. 
4. Fourthly, some ducks dive deep underwater. Long-tailed ducks can dive as far as about 60 metres to search for food. 
5. Finally, not all ducks quack. Different species can whistle, grunt, squeak or make other unusual calls.

Open the downloaded file and print it on A4 paper. Standard printer paper works well with crayons and colouring pencils.

However, slightly thicker paper may be better for felt-tip pens or paint. Before printing, check that your printer is set to the correct paper size. Select ‘fit to page’ if part of the design is missing.
